Information on the Show

The Site is situated on 60 Acres adjacent to the A6 – Loughborough/Derby main road on the outskirts of Loughborough – within easy access from the M1 Junctions 23 & 24. The Show consists of all the normal activities related to a County Show. Livestock sections for this year have been cancelled. We can assure you that this is only a temporary situation, and look forward to their return on 2003. An enhanced equine section incorporating dressage competitions will take place. Our normal Showjumping and Showing classes will continue attracting substantial entries . (We are one of the few shows where you will see International Showjumping Teams, Carriage Driving, Heavy Horses and one of the largest arrays of showing classes seen.) The Main Ring runs solid entertainment of the highest quality for the two days covering, the Mega Minis Stunt Show, Team Extreme, with the ever popular Terrier Racing. We are also running Dog Shows, a Food Hall, Craft Hall, Tug of War Competitions, and YFC Tractor Driving , A farmers market along with the first heat of the British Farmers Armwrestling competition combined with many other attractions. For the 2002 Show we are again combining with Oak FM Radio and the Leicester Mercury and its associated papers. All of their 800,000 readers will be receiving individual programmes of the show, the week prior to the 5th & 6th May.

Conditions for Traders

When Reserving any Site provision must be made for the inclusion of guy ropes and vehicles when appropriate. 1) Frontal charges are appropriate as to the site selected. Minimum charge for trade space £100. Registered charitable organisation will be allowed a 10 % discount . (6 in Total ) A full charge will be made to charitable organisations who are trading commercially on the ground. 2) A receptacle or plastic bags must be provided by each trade stand for refuse. Traders are responsible for keeping their site clean and tidy. 3) Electricity can not be supplied to outside stalls. Craft exhibitors have the option. Generators may be used by the outside stalls, as long as they are included in the site reserved and quiet. 4) The sale of goods from any kind of auction and the use of loudspeakers is not permitted. 5) The sale of goods, tickets ect must be carried out within the confines of the area booked. Pick a Ticket stalls are not permitted. 6) Random distribution of pamphlets and publicity material on the showground is strictly forbidden. 7) The showground directors reserve the right to refuse admission to any person or organisation, who in their opinion would be prejudicial to the running of the show. The allocation of trade sites by the showground directors is final. Sites are not transferable. 8) The Exhibitors Vehicle Label permits traders access to the showground by 8.00 am each day. All vehicles must remain stationary while the show is in progress. Vehicles not accommodated in the trade site must be removed to the public car park by 8.00 am each day. Traders can obtain entry to the showground from 8.30 am on the Friday. Permission for earlier admission must be obtained from the office. 9) In the event of a cancellation no refund will be made. Failure to comply with any of the above conditions listed, by any trader will result in instant dismissal from the showground. The Society can not be held responsible for any injury or damage fatal or otherwise to property or person however caused.
